Coin Magic Trick Review – Therm-o-Chromic

I received a copy of Therm-O-Chromic by Radek Makar and put some time into learning his latest coin magic trick offering.
Watching  the presentation video is impressive let alone learning some of the sleights used to accomplish the changes.

What is it?

Therm-o-chromic is pocket copper to silver effect that is simply fun to watch and provides 2 routines with several new moves that you’ll enjoy learning.
The product is delivered as an eBook with supporting video.  In the product, you’ll learn two of Radek’s personal sleights – The Flint Click Pass and the Bevel Slide.  He also provides his approach to the Ladder Tenkai Pennies effect.  The two routines that you learn include the Hypercoin Change and the full Therm-o-Chromic routine.

Below is the Coin Magic Trick Blog official coin magic review rating:

Coin Magic Trick Rating

Audience Entertainment Value:  4/5

Both effects are fun to perform and visually entertaining to watch.  I’m also a fan of presentation, plot, payoff and all the characteristics that I learned from the Private Studies Series.  You’ll be left to think up your own patter with the exception of a few lines but the visual nature of these tricks definitely had audience appeal.

Practicality: 5/5

All of these effects fit into my criteria for a practical trick or presentation that any coin worker or table-hopping magician would include in their repertoire.  No bang rings, threads or funky gimmicks to worry about.  Just good coin magic.

Creativity and Wow Factor: 5/5

Watch the video again.  Did you see how fast the coin change went?

Difficulty Level (1 – Very Difficult 5 – Very Easy) : 3/5

The effects rely on sleight of hand and like all sleights, they require practice.  Radek explains each sleight in detail and the supporting video really helps to convey the “real” action.  I really liked the Bevel Slide Spellbound change as well as his handing in the Hypercoin Change.  This effect alone is a fun one to add as you perform the Flint Click Pass, Ladder Tenkai Pennies and follow up with the Hypercoin Change.

Production and Price: 5/5

In the world of Magic, there are a lot of good ideas that are poorly produced and overpriced.  Thankfully, Therm-o-Chromic is not one of them.  The production value in the PDF is high quality and the supporting video download has a Ponta the Smith Sick look and feel to it.  So much better than the 1 page of instructions I got from another coin magic trick that I found in the mailbox.  Radek has also been reachable by email and has been very helpful pointing out any refinements that I needed for Therm-o-chromic.

This little gem is quite under-priced at only $10.00 so even the most penny-pinching coin magician can break out his roll of quarters and order this one.

Coin Magic Trick Heads and Tails Rating: Heads Up – Pick it Up!

Where can you get it?

Therm-o-chromic is sold through the Lybrary website
